A Doubted Leader

Dear President Rodrigo Duterte,

First and fore most Mr. President, I would like to acknowledge your slightly successful projects such as War on Drugs, the issue in Marawi, the rehabilitation of Boracay and Manila Bay, and the laws you implemented. I admire you for doing your responsibilities as a leader but, are you even aware that your administration is being a clown and clowning the country? I guess not.

The war on drugs project is undeniably successful, dealers and pushers are now rotting in jail, but is that all? The drug lords, are they already repenting their mistakes? Not just that. Many citizens are held accusingly causing them trauma that affects their families. Could the Filipinos say that your project is successful? Maybe yes but a hundred percent no for me. About Marawi, they are now under the Martial Law, but the infrastructure, is it already recovered? People are worrying that the rehabilitation might be forgotten as soon as you are going to step down as a President. Instead of using the funds to supply the poor this pandemic, you focused on the rehab of Manila Bay. How insensitive are you? Right at the time of pandemic? I understand that nature is truly beautiful but can’t you wait? You could have given the extra funds in Marawi, and the poor. And about the law you implemented, specifically Anti- Terrorism Bill, do you think that was effective? You are basically silencing the people about their concerns and complaints about your administration. And the penalty is outrageously unfair, they would be caught by just sharing their opinions on social media and suspecting them as a terrorist just by causing a rally? Why can’t you notice yourself the other corrupt politicians?

I honestly admired your past projects and hopefully, I would 100 % percent support you someday. Take a rest for temporary to ease your mind so that you can reach the Filipinos’ expectation, after all, we are only human.
