Hey, Earthquake!

At any time an earthquake might strike us without any warning. No single individual could stop an inevitable disaster. All we could do is to prevent and have a knowledge about preparedness and vigilance.

National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill by the government is always conducted every year. As I have noticed, only few people is taking the activity seriously. Is the "duck, cover and hold" enough for them to save their lives? How would they act in case an earthquake would hit them? I guess, have a chit-chat with a companion first rather than being vigilant.

It is really important to participate, even in a simple preparedness plan or at least have a knowledge on how to act and respond to disasters. I suggest to have a cooperation and not to be a burden, of course, excluding the ones with disabilities and illnesses.

  4. Hi Russel, I completely agree that the standard "duck, cover, and hold" is not enough in facing an earthquake. It is imperative that we should have a plan in order for us to be guided. I love how you included that it is necessary to participate in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill since it can help us in the future. Great Job!
