Kannawidan
Ilocos Sur always celebrates the Kannawidan Festival everylast week of January until last week of February. This festival is celebrated in order to preserve the rich culture and tradition of the Ilocanos. It consists of food and trade from different municipalities, street dancing and marching band competition, fair, cultural dances, and a pageant.
This year, it was far different from the previous ones. Due to COVID-19, it was implemented with strict policies and regulations. Sellers were limited, minors were not allowed, rides were not present, and a broadcasted pageant. Although it was not fun according to the citizens, it was for the safety of all and to prevent the spreading of the said virus.

I like how short but informative your blog is! This year, Kannawidan festival was celebrated in a much simple way to ensure safety but atleast we still got to celebrate it.
