This Year celebrates the 79th Day of Valor (Araw ng Kagitingan) – Bataan Day which commemorates the sacrifices and giving honor to all the veterans who gave their life for the country.
The significance of the Battle for Bataan in 1942 need not to be lost to our youth or to the present generation and to the succeeding generations. Love for country and admiration for heroes is the very essential in creating and building a strong country.
The efforts and sacrifice of our soldiers to claim the victory against odds and the role of the townspeople in giving their relief to the captive heroes will add more meaning to big words like patriotism, freedom, courage and resilience in celebrating Araw ng Kagitingan every year.
Truly that the Day of Valor – Araw ng Kagitingan is not only as a normal Philippine Holiday, this is the time that we need to remember, commemorate, and give honor the heroes and veterans during the World War II, who gave and sacrifice their life and their blood for the Valor of the Country.
